In order to provide you with the best possible dental care, we reserve 90 minutes for this initial visit. Dr. Petre will meet with you personally to review your medical and dental history and discuss any concerns you might have.
During this initial visit, we will obtain all the pertinent information and collect all the necessary records to determine how best to meet your dental needs.
These records include a set of full-mouth x-rays, complete periodontal charting, a thorough oral exam including intra-oral pictures, and an oral cancer screening. Your blood pressure will also be taken, and a microscopic slide may be required.
If you already have recent dental records (within 6 months) from your previous dentist, please make arrangements to have them sent to you or to our office prior to your visit.
Once all information is collected, Dr. Petre will review the findings with you and make recommendations based on the state of your teeth, gum tissues, and supporting bone, as well as their potential effect on overall health. This consultation is designed to be educational and informative, enabling you to make the best possible decisions. It is followed by instructions on how to begin a soft tissue management program.
All fees for recommended treatment will be discussed in advance. We will gladly discuss payment options, and assist you with your insurance needs.
